Traditionally, paver surfaces are maintenance free and require little effort to keep them in good repair beyond sweeping and occasional hose downs.
Over the last 10 years, the industry has responded to the issue of weathering or fading in paver surfaces by developing chemical sealers that shield UV, acid rain and protect against stains. Pavers are considered the premier paving solution that provide the maximum aesthetic value and the products we are able to deliver to our customers are becoming more impressive as the industry grows. Depending on site conditions, things like heavy tree cover, heavy sun, rain and traffic can take a toll on concrete paver surfaces. Protecting that initial investment is absolutely essential if the expectation is that the paved surface will retain it’s original beauty for decades.
In most cases, that protection comes in the form of concrete sealer. There are several different kinds of concrete sealers that vary in appearance and protection level. -Matte finish: It is invisible and provides no color enhancement or glossy sheen. It does protect against stains, UV and acid rain, it also re enforces the polymeric joint sand between pavers. Click Here to see an example of matte finish sealer.
-Glossy finish: It provides the same protection as the matte but with the addition of a color enhancing sheen. The level of gloss can be high or low depending on preference. -Wet Look: Provides intense color enhancement and gives the surface a high gloss sheen that makes them look wet. This product contains a water repellant that actually sheds off water like wax on a car. Click Here to see an example of a Wet-Look Sealer.
